Friendly staff, comfortable room and great setting.
freindly staff - relaxing - quality
The hotel feels very relaxed with comfortable bar and dog friendly. The food was good and we were pleasantly surprised after seeing our very dated room.
Saturday morning breakfast service was good with just one efficient person. Sunday was shocking, the hotel was busy but there were 5 waiting staff we had to wait 25 mins to be served (after walking up to a waitress) and ask 4 times for a cup and eventually go and get one ourself. Unfortunately they have very little competition locally. The bedroom was very dated and tired and the bed was soft and very uncomforable.
Set in beautiful surroundings, lovely and relaxing, lovely evening meal too
We were left quite a while in the restaurant in the evening, from giving our order and in between courses.
The comfort of the lounges.
Having said that it was comfortable in the lounges it was only when there where now conference on as otherwise there was no room and we had to sit in our bedrooms, which is a bit boring if it is raining.
Gorgeous location. In the hotel, maybe shower facilities could be improved, maybe the walls of your room are thin enough you can hear snoring in next, but the hall and other spaces are cozy, very comfortable. English style at the very best. Beer is remarkable. Congratulations to Booked.net for having the hotel on record.
Food and service were excellent. The staff, obviously well-trained, were helpful and welcoming. Two-Bridges Hotel is situated in a beautiful, unspoilt area and has a comfortable, 'old world' atmosphere, yet possesses good up-to date facilities. It is a relaxing, homely place - a peaceful haven away from today's over-busy world.
The Two Bridges; great location, breakfast was good, comfy room.
The one down side was; that the room we had was right next to the Kitchen extractor fan Rooms 16,17. we had to request that the fan been turned off at the end of dinner 0r it would have been like sleeping next to a jet engine .
The staff were fantastic a real credit to the owners. Location was good, dog friendly and no extra charges for dogs either. The hotel is very comfortable with a nice bar area and a very good restaurant.
I am a vegetarian and was a little disappointed that there was not any choice on the menu. The food that I did have was delicious but had the same thing on both nights.
Location and frienliness of the staff
Housekeeping of room.Toilet had not been flused before we arrived. Two floor tiles in bathroom were loose. Bed was made up while we were out on second day of our stay but the door to the room was not locked and was not closed.
Everything about our one night was excellent, Staff very friendly, ambience superb and food very very good.
The hotel was set in a lovely location and was a perfect base for walking in Dartmoor. Dinner and breakfast were in a formal dining room with lots of character. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful and made the difference to our stay.
This hotel appeared to be a popular wedding venue, with two weddings held during our three night stay causing the hotel to be a bit busier and noiser than expected.
Staff - excellent, room - so cool (I felt like a queen), breakfast - delicious! Good luck in the future!
Food and superb staff
being near delivery point in room 38
Friday night was nice and relaxing, sat in the lounge with a cider after a long drive down, however, they neglected to tell us a wedding was booked for saturday night, the hotel was heaving, and the disco went on til twelve and was very loud. We came here to relax.
Staff were very friendly, hotel is in a lovely spot on dartmoor, however, i feel they like to attract the wedding set, so i guess that its not the place if you want to relax. I also booked a double room, but we had a twin, with the beds pushed together, on complaining i was told the hotel was full.
